What «operating group» actually means

A financial holding buys companies, keeps them and watches the accounts. We do the opposite: the companies in the group share tools, procedures, information systems and, above all, clients. Whoever comes to one of us finds the others already at the table, when that helps.

It changes how a problem gets solved. A company opening a new warehouse needs people to hire, someone to organise the flows, someone to keep the spaces clean and compliant, and before any of that, the building itself. That is four suppliers, four contracts and four people to call. Or it is us.

How six trades are held together

Not with an org chart, but with three very concrete things.

The real trade is other people’s work

Everything we do (recruiting, planning shifts, cleaning warehouses, caring for someone at home, farming a field, finding a building) serves somebody else’s work. It is a trade you only notice when it goes wrong.

So we measure the result in boring things: contracts in order, payslips on time, cover arranged, deadlines met. Bright ideas have their place, but a group handling thousands of employment relationships is judged on how rarely it gets one wrong.
